Audio recorded whilst images were photographed in Cumbria
This work was created for my BA Hons degree and my final major project, it was inspired by the UK targets for tree plantation in a bid to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050. I created an immersive experience for exhibition with positive images of the natural landscape, using a combination of stills, audio and video. The audio playing during exhibition was recorded on site of the images whilst I photographed and is available to play on this page. This work will also exhibit in The Open Eye Gallery and I will give the viewers the option to take home a sapling from the Paulownia tree, also known as Foxglove or Princess tree. One of the world's fastest growing trees and sequestering up to 10 times the carbon dioxide levels of other trees. The Paulownia tree blooms purple flowers and can be cultivated to fit any size garden.
